Restoration - Shoreline

Large Project - A major project. This one required a full NRPA permit from the DEP, a complex process which took approximately 6 months to complete. The height from high tide to top of slope was about 45', and it included approximately 50' of shoreline. Cutting of trees to provide views removed much of the layer of tree roots in this area which still stabilize the adjacent slopes. Combined with a spring located about halfway down, and persistent wave erosion, this destabilized the hillside, which slumped downward each year, moving closer to the property's leach field.
